Visa-free Entry to Jeju Island

 Jeju Island offers a very flexible entry/depature policy, which allows visitors to stay without a visa for up to 30 days when visitors enter Jeju directly from abroad. However, there are exceptions to the visa-free entry based on the visitor’s nationality; only 11 countries are still required to apply for a visa: Afghanistan, Cuba, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Macedonia, Palestine, Sudan, and Syria.

 If visitors transfer at other cities (Incheon or Gimpo or Busan airpot) in Korea, they need a visa clearance according to their nationalities. Most foreigners who want to visit Korea just for a short-term tour or transit are permitted to enter Korea with no visa according to the principles of reciprocity or priority of national interest with a tourist/transit visa status(B-20, 30 days).

Letter of Invitation (for visa application)

A letter of invitation will be sent by the symposium secretariat upon request to help participants to obtain a visa. Applications for invitation letters should be received before August 1, 2016

However, this invitation implies no obligation, financial, visa or otherwise, by the ACEM16/Structures16 Secretariat.
